That experience is what led to her founding of HPEC, a decentralized autonomous organization of practicing physicians - which is essentially a digital physicians guild, and evercred,  the credential issuing system that is interoperable with HPEC, and any other decentralized identity wallet that follows decentralized identity standards by the Decentralized Identity Foundation and the World Wide Web Consortium.

In addition to leading HPEC and evercred, Dr. Houston is a nationally requested speaker and author on the topic of self-sovereign identity in healthcare.
